"Metallic K.O." was first released in 1976 and was the fourth album by IGGY & THE STOOGES, a classic, memorable recording of the Stooges' confrontational final performance. The Stooges hadn't been heard since '73's "Raw Power", and the sound of kamikaze Iggy dodging eggs and glasses thrown by the Hell's Angels between new songs gave him a new audience in the fledgling punk scene. It defined Iggy as a punk veteran, sold over 100,000 copies and became the Stooges' best-selling album. The re-release as an expanded two-CD set with two complete shows has now been reduced to the exact original cut of the album that shocked and inspired so many. During the 2007 remastering from the original tapes, an error was found in the original tape speed - now the album can be heard at the correct pitch for the first time! As Lester Bangs said: "It's the only rock album I know where you can actually hear beer bottles banging against the guitar strings.". Recorded in 1973 & 74. inside pocket with historical background.
