While some bands with as much history as The Cure strive for a widescreen, epic sound, Robert Smith and his cohort are less likely to present us with a pumped-up array of the 'hits' played live. And so it is that we come to this record of their momentous gig at London's Troxy - a stage interpretation of the band's last studio album with the semi-mournful vocals and rolled chords we have come to know and love.
