The album of the same name from 1993 was the fastest to date sold his debut album in the UK at all. The successor "Dog Man Star" is regarded as Opus Magnum of the band of singer Brett Anderson and Guitarist Bernard Butler. "Coming Up" could do in England alone five Singles in the Top 10, and three of the albums rose directly in first place. A total of 14 singles came into the UK Top 20, and the wave of success carried the band all over Europe to Japan.
