"This album feels like it's something I've always wanted to create," Slayyyter says in an exclusive statement to Variety. "I've spent the last two years in the studio thinking about what my final project would sound like. What would I want to leave behind if I died tomorrow? For me, this record is the perfect representation of who I am as a person and an artist."

According to a press release, "Wor$t Girl in America" is inspired by Slayyyter's childhood and youth in St. Louis and is described as "iPod music" reminiscent of the "Midwest-core tweaker barrat" characters of her youth.

Slayyyter is preparing her major label debut, following "Starfucker" (2023) and "Troubled Paradise" (2021), both released after her 2019 mixtape of the same name.
