  • After a three-year break, "Course in Fable" is Ryley Walker's fifth album. Recorded in just three days at Hallowed Hall Studios in Portland/Oregon, Walker was inspired by the complex and multi-layered music of Genesis and by avant-garde and improvisational tendencies of the Chicago underground of the 1990s.

    Backed again by longtime collaborator Bill MacKay, Walker plays almost exclusively electric, leaving behind his beloved Guild D-35 and employing a G&L Broadcaster and a 12-string Rickenbacker 360.
