Habibi Funk is pleased to present a second collection of deep grooves and unreleased songs by Algerian musician Ahmed Malek, who is often compared to Italian heavyweight Ennio Morricone.

Malek's music shifts effortlessly between thematic jazz, funk, reggae and Algerian folklore - creating indelible soundscapes that intersect with the musical innovations of African jazz by Mulatu Astatke, Bembeya Jazz National and some of Europe's finest experimental composers such as Piero Piccioni and Janko Nilovic.
